Honestly I've been cracking up all morning laughing on how taking a few LA lines and making a 2 minute clip can really change your mood in a heart beat. Its raining again in Los Angeles today. I'm so happy I photographed my muse miss Diane yesterday when the sun was out! The photos came out amazing! I can't release them yet since i'm waiting to hear back from an editor on everything. Basically the concept tells a story of a beautiful girl who's only friend is a white horse named Silver. Together they dream and wish. They are what makes one. Check out the moodboard I designed for the shoot and a sneak peak of an image from the shoot.

LIVING OUT OF MY SUITCASE

So I just got back from Jeddah where I visited Mecca in Saudi Arabia...I still cant believe i got the opportunity to go on this adventure. It was something I had never experienced before. Sadly I wasn't aware that you could bring your camera inside the place so I don't have any photographs to show you...

I did go shopping though in Saudi and found such unique items. I pinky swear to show you guys once I'm all settled since the past month been living out of my suitcase traveling all over. That being said you can check out some self portraits I took in the house. Tomorrow will be my last day in Riyadh and then I'll be traveling back to Lebanon and then back home to Los Angeles.

I've been getting into the the psychedelic photography lately. I can't wait to show you guys my newest work once they are published. I really miss Los Angeles, I can't wait to be home again.

I love my room in Saudi Arabia. Its got this amazing marie antoinette inspiration going on. Lace, baby blue color and pastel trinkets. The room smells like jasmine every morning and lets just say every second of the day! I feel like sofia coppola would appreciate this room it screams miss dior.

I miss Los Angeles and can't wait to be back.

Lebanon Diary Entry

Finally some photographs from where I haven been the past few weeks. This first entry is from Lebanon. If I had to describe Beirut I would stay its pretty much the Paris of the Middle East. Here are some photographs from where i was saying in lebanon. Lebanon feels empty tho without my grandmother. Its definitely not worth going anymore for me.

These are my Teta's (Teta: Arabic word for grandmother) 70s' platform shoes. Jeffrey Campbell aint got nothin on these babies. Ahh i'm in love with the wooden work on the heel. Too fragile for walking but makes beautiful decoration in the house.

I rarley ever watch tv but in Beirut the only channel i'd watch besides the movie networks was Fashion TV I wish we had in LA. Fashion TV pretty much showcases current fashion shows and information on upcoming models. With interviews and trend updates this network had me going.

I'm working on completing my Lebanon video...Once i'm done i'll update you guys with it!

I've been traveling the middle east the past few days. Went from Los Angeles to London to Lebanon and now to Saudi Arabia and then soon to Jeddah then along back to my home Los Angeles. I've been dealing with the loss of my grandmother. I'm looking forward to the projects i'll be working on in the middle east and will be updating again. Look out for more moodboards, style stalkers, and a crazy video i'm directing about lebanon and my travels. I'm trying to keep myself inspired even through my heart being broken over the loss of the one person who taught me all I needed to know about staying chick forever.

Check out this awesome 4 min film by my girl Gia Coppola called "What's Up?". The 4 min short is about this lovely little girl bored as hell and hanging around in her room slash neighborhood due to the 405 being closed. Gia has always been my favorite young film makers. I feel like the young girl in the movie due to my flue that has been stuck with me for a freakin week....urgh On a positive note I did complete my BOY CULTURE series this weekend. Emailed the editor of the this magazine i'm collaborating with, hopefully the series will be picked up. Anyways my plan is to wake up early and hit the gym then go to work. I'm starting a new routine.

Once a week I will be getting "style stalked" in the street doing my normal activities such as finding my parking spot, shopping for groceries, walking the dog, ext.. A lot of you wanted to know what I wear when I'm on-the-go, so there you have it STYLE STALKER will be in keeping in touch you my bunny readers.

I'm trying to look for the perfect leather boots the ones that go up to your knees or thigh high, but the problem is i keep finding the ones that are huge and look ugly. I'm not sure if you guys know of the type i'm looking for the ones that are skin tight and fit like a glove. YES those kinds....i'm in search for them for this fall.

Working on a cool series which i'm really excited to finally do. I've been planning on shooting this for a while now. I'll be photographing my bf today doing some crazy z-boys moves. So surprisingly today was not as crazy as I'd thought it would be. I didn't have anything planned for todays concept for photographing model Nastassia @Vision models, except with a little faith and last minute inspiration I got it all done. We shot all over China Town, which I wish was a more happening place in Los Angeles. Anyways here are some pictures from behind the scenes.

I wont be able to show the rest of the photographs since i'm still in the process of getting edited. I'm looking forward to booking more models next week and also having a meeting with an editor. I'll keep you all updated with how everything goes.

Lately the weather has been too crazy and so has been my life. BUT its a good type of crazy. I've been really busy with different projects. I went to the Grammys nomination the other night. I'll make sure to upload some photographs / videos from the performances that I saw. Also did I mention I might be flying to Saudi Arabia next week? Its not for certain yet but i'll either be in Saudi or New York or Hawaii for Christmas. I'm routing for NYC or Hawaii. I'm going to Saudi to visit some family and do an amazing project which I can't talk about it will be an exclusive editorial. If i end up going to NYC it will be for my friends birthday and business and IF its Hawaii it will strictly be vacation.

In 2 weeks I will be collaborating with some amazing people in creating music. I'm excited for this project since I've never made an album before. I'm pulling some inspiration for my producer as we speak. We'll see how this will go.

I went to the Hedi Slimane exhibition going on at Moca. AHH the work was amazing and of course I had to bring my camera. Slimane showcased all of he's rock' n roll diary photographs of icon musicians and scouted models in Los Angeles. I spoted 3 of my friends who were apart of the exhibition. The crazy HUGE box that projected the work made your eyes twist in different angles and it was too beautiful.

I'm supposed to be brainstorming for a bunch of shoots i'll be photographing for upcoming editorials. i'm trying to make moodboards but i keep getting distracted by how fast the clock keeps ticking and how its practically almost midnight. I have too much on my mind and need to push away the useless topics that come to mind and focus on working harder at accomplishing my goals. okay i didnt even know that kanye west was designing he's own line for women. I really liked how all the outfits kind of had this weird cut it wasnt boxie it wasnt baggy it was just kind of odd cut to the clothes that made the models actually have hips and buts. I'm a big fan of that thats for sure! I loved how iono weird it was there was obviously some inspiration from Aaliyah and the Givenchy Dog teeth pieces. I liked it!

Its finally here!!! AHHHH super excited for the only holiday that i just cant ever seem to get enough of HALLOWEEEEEEEN. I wish my birthday wasnt a month after it. Anyways super excited for this month! I modeled and collaborated with the brilliant Tavi Gevinson's new magazine ROOKIE October Secrets Issue. The photos come out on the 24th taken by my sistah from another mistah Petra Collins. We did the shoot a few months ago and its been hush hush so I can't tell you guys anything until the photos come out.

Yesterday I wrapped on a super pop disney music video hehehe we filmed for 3 days straight, But once again can't say anything about that. I'm excited to work with such talented people and can't wait to see how it all comes together!

The other day I got my hair cut!!! I went to Neil George on Robertson. OKAY Neil George has got to be my favorite salon in LA. All the hair stylists actually "get it"... you know what i mean? They are just taste makers when it comes to hair. They know how to create any look and did I mention all the hair products they use on your hair smells AH-MAZING! I wore my plaid twiggy inspired school girl dress by Motel Rocks. Kept getting crazy compliments on where to buy it. So i'll be sharing the link with you guys!!

FASHIONS NIGHT OUT LA LA LA LA

Fashions Night Out in LA was super fun. The fact that they shut down the street and turned it into a circus made me smile. I attended the Lanvin, Chanel, Miu Miu, Judith Leiber, Guess, Lomography, and Prada parties! MAN WAS THAT ALOT OF PARTIES OR WHAT! i couldnt make it to a few more places I was invited too since i'm not sure how many places you can really go to under 5 hours hahaha. My favorite party was definitely the Guess party they had a photobooth which made me more excited than anything in the whole wide world. Miu Miu had the best shoe cookies i'd ever eaten as well as Judith Leiber with those crazy majestic chocolate covered glitter goodies. Prada in my opinion won the best DJ / tunes for a party. I also attended the Adi Da Samraj art show, check out all the photos below!

I'm so excited for the Serge Gainsbourg movie to come out tomorrow! I'm too excited that I even made a mix cd of some of my favorite music by him which you can find me listening to while I drive myself around LA. Yup thats me the girl with the glasses listening to Gainsbourg zooming by you as you play Rihanna. Of course there are others on the mix I made like the lovely Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin, Annie Philippe, France Gall, Jacqueline Taieb, Adele, and Astrud Gilberto. 21 tracks to my heart.

Below are the following places and dates that the film will premiere at!!! eeeek! Alright I must research where in the world the Nuart Theatre is and book my ticket for September.

The Ardorous, the all girl photography collective whose pictures graced our Photo Issue last month, have their first group show tonight in Toronto. Entitled In Bloom, the work is a portrayal of the young female experience and a nod to the Nirvana song that shares the same title. Petra Collins, the collective’s founder, said, “The song was released the same year in which most of the artists were born, giving a specific reference to the time that shaped and birthed these creative minds. The exhibit will consist of photography, painting, and video projection, and the space will be transformed into a secret-garden-like atmosphere with fake flowers and botanical head pieces mounted on the wall.” So, if you live in Toronto, or just have loads of money to burn on last minute flights, the opening reception will definitely be worth a look-see.

Featured photographers include Petra Collins, Dana Boulos, Kristie Muller, Julia Baylis, Dasha Love, Aela Labbe, Alice Lancaster, and Monika Mogi. Paintings by Gaby Lo.

CHANEL PRE-FALL 2011

I got the Chanel pre-fall 2011 lookbook in the mail a month ago and decided to create a little inspiration / editorial using my personal clothes inspired by the pre-fall collection. I photographed a mix of some of my perfumes with jewelry, clothes, shoes, and props to make it more animated. I see the collection was definitely inspired by the middle east and even parts of asia specifically by the Byzantine tile work.

Little back story behind the O.4.T.D inspiration: I wish I was in paris sitting on my roof and starring out at the Eiffel tower while splashing a miss Dior perfume on my neck. I'd sit there and sketch in my sketch book different people and different patterns. While starring at the sky listening to Francoise Hardy sing and wondering what else to do with my time. A romantic feel with a bit of a lolita innocence to the outlook of life.

Had a crazy week went to 2 fittings, ran around completing errands and in the process of designing a logo for a company. I'll also post some drawings i've been working on this weekend. I've been blogging since I was about 13 years old. Remember when people used Xanga and Myspace blogs...well i was one of those. I wrote about the usual fashion, music, art, and lifestyle. I always took photos of my friends and would post them up there. I treated it as though it was my diary except the world got to view it, unlike bloggers today where they only showcase what "gifts" they got sent from designers and how well they wear it.
